And yet I frown

This isn't what I expected to hear

What I heard

From your own word

Two separate times

One time I smiled

Tentative hope wild

Waiting for the future

Then the future came

Without me once again

Is that how often I had left you behind?

Close my eyes. Open them again. In body, first person, look around. Red jacket sleeves, hat shading the sun. I am walking. They are walking. I open my eyes, it's all in my mind. Who am I? The short girl with the long hair? The one with the jacket and hat? The one with the eyes that open and close? This is D.I.D. I suppose.
